Hi Kids! Before I let Isla go, I figured I'd do a Valentine's Day mani with it, albeit a little on the dark side.
Base- 2 coats Zoya, Isla
Fauxnad plate- H30
Stamped with Color Club, Where's the Soiree?
Tips- Claire's, Magic
Smile Line- Hard Candy, Lava
Heart sequins from Love My Nails, Crazy For you
I spent a considerable amount of time swatching different colors on plastic trying to find just the right color and comparable finish to coordinate/compliment Isla. I like the final outcome!
Edit- After trying to illuminate my tips by taking pictures on a mirror, I remembered that there is a Blogger who regularly takes her pictures on one. Giving credit to Polish Hoarder Disorder!

gorgeous mani... =)
A naughty Valentine. Love it!
You are working those square tips! It's a great shape for funky french looks. <3
I love it!
Please, please consider to keep your nails square...
They look so fine this way!
Beautiful manicure with nail art! Really!
Love this!
I am in love with this! A dark, sexy Vday mani...just perfect!
I think this is a gorgeous manicure. Very dark and sexy =) By the way, I adore the shape of your new nails! They suit your hands so well!
Ooh, now this is right up my alley! Like Trincess said, dark and sexy. This came out GORGEOUS!
Gorgeous
Thanks Thess!
Keeping my nails squared is not out of the equasion. ..There are pluses in maintaining them this way.
Thanks Miss!
Thank you Diana!
Thank you Trincess! I'm slowly getting used to the shape.
Thanks Andrea!
Thank you Nicole!
I'm loving the purple and red together.
Thanks Ange-Marie!
Thanks Kirsten! I had to put my thinking cap on for this one. I had a lot of "fails" on my test swatches. The golds and silvers I initially thought would make a great Vday mani looked like Christmas!
Thanks L!
I had so much trouble in keeping my test swatches from looking like Christmas, I turned to my gardening books for color inspiration!
Once I saw that the deepest red roses have purple in them, everything came together.
"Woei" as we say in Dutch.. :P
As in "YEAH"!!
Love it! Please get your ovals back! I miss 'em.
I love this! It's so refreshing to see something entirely different from the classic V-day mani!
That is so pretty!!!! Wow!
This is super pretty. love the fauxnad!!
Thanks Arrianne! I'm still on the fence on whether or not I'm going back to ovals. Right now, I'm taking advantage of all the looks I couldn't do with ovals. For now, it's square...perhaps when the fun of change wears off, I may go back.
What's on your mind...
Thank you MeganT!
Goodness- you are beautiful!
Thank you dear!
Thank you NikiC!
wow... this is really funky.. love it so much... i love ur new nail shape...
Thank you Thriszha!
I'm thinking of keeping this shape.
Oh goodness, thanks!
I don't like Valentine's Day or anything it's connected to. That's why I'm going to pretend that your mani isn't V day's mani. =) I love how you managed to combine purple and red and still make both of the colors look great. Awesome combo!
;) I love this manicure. I love the color and also the pattern you used. Very pretty. I prefer this dark side manicure. One of my favorite Valentine manicures.
