Bling on the Holidays!

Funky Fingers Bottle Love! L to R; Yule Love It, Under Mistletoe, Wonderland

Aren't these Funky Fingers polishes gorgeous? I picked them up 3 for $5 at my local 5 Below store. They're all Jellies with a ton of glitter.... very foil-y looking, making them super bling-y. Funky Fingers are made by Forsythe, the same company that makes Color Club.

I had my fauxnad and Konad plates all picked out for this mani, but given the positive feedback on my last rub-on mani, I decided to go with those instead. Let's face it, plate can get expensive, and really- how many times will a Holiday plate be used?

Mani is 2 coats of Under Mistletoe
Candy canes and holly are rub-ons from Michael's
2 coats Seche topcoat
I *love* how festive this mani turned out! The only thing that could make this better would be the addition of some red rhinestones or jewels for the holly berries, but my picking habit would not allow it- it would be ruined within minutes.
Remember- click pictures to make them bigger!

Yoga-ta Get This Blue magic- click 4 big

My first attempt at art on my OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue! was a major fail. I tried to salvage it by layering almost *all* the glitter and flakies in my arsenal. At one point, I could have sworn I heard someone chanting..."more, more, more is better". I'm not sure, but I think it was the ONE voice of the Glitteratzi. So, it was looking very cool- and then I did it again- I went overboard with yet another layer. Thankfully, it was all still wet so removal was not a pain.
Anyway, I started all over with a fresh 2 coats of Yoga-ta. Although I have lots of Halloween ideas, none of them seemed right with this color...it's too classy for cheesey Halloweeney art. (I had no inclination of trying my first idea again, as I really need a different shade and formula of orange(s) than I have.)
I came up with a magic inspired fauxnadacure. Magic and Halloween go together, so I say this counts as #5 in my series.

Basecoat- OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue, 2 coats
Overlay- Hard Candy Hot Pants (holo glitter- micro and medium)
Fauxnad plates- P55, H16, H17
Sally Hansen Chromes for stamping in- Royal Purple Chrome & Aqua Chrome
2 coats Seche
Too bad my dh wasn't home to photograph my nails...I had to use my ancient Fuji- not very good for glitter, holo & detail shots.

Konad!

I usually don't wear light colored nails. My hands are pale and ruddy, so "light" never looks nice. I did all my Konad stamping in Black (Special Polish).

Base- N.Y.C 134A French White Tip

ISO a good white creme...N.Y.C. = terrible formula, awful brush, but, as I don't ever use white, it's all I had.

Over the white, I applied Pure Ice Mint Dream that I Frankened with a sheer lavender-aqua flash, Franken I made ages ago.

Konad plates- 2 images from M20, and 3 from M8.

Used a toothpick to apply Nfu-Oh #38 to the wings of the butterflies, and also added NYX glitter #03 in Crystal at random throughout the flower chain.

Two coats of Seche Vite.

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
