Intermezzo...Diamond Cosmetics, Tira-mi-su

What color does a girl choose after having her new #1 polish on for 3 days?
I thought I would use my former #1 polish-OPI, Yoga-ta Get This Blue!, but meh, it's #2 now, and doesn't quite measure up to the still fresh in my mind, Dick Weed.
What I needed was a palate cleanser! A nude!
I chose a polish from a recent haul, Diamond Cosmetics Tira-mi-su. My first stab at DC, and I am impressed!

It's been a while since I've touched my Konad-Fauxnad plates. I think I'll do some stamping over this tonight.
I also took a picture of my right hand injury, if anyone is interested. I have limited mobility/dexterity and the start of arthritis. :(  The large scar you see near my wrist is where the steel pipe entered my hand. It exited out of my palm just under the pinky...I have no "pad" there anymore. The mold actually folded my hand in half like a piece of paper.

This color looks perfect on you!
I feel your pain hun, I had an injury to my left hand as a teen (I was left handed), they said I would never have more than 20-30% use....they were wrong I have almost 70% use but I cannot feel my index finger or thimb at all or part of my middle finger. I cannot right lefty anymore so I'm a convert to north paw. lol My handwritting is really bad but I have 2 hands and 10 fingers so no bitching from me. The arthritis is horrible though. :(

I think your hands are beautiful and I'm just happy that you have them both, your guardians were watching out for you!

I have to get this for my blubbery colours collection! I love it! <3

That injury looks like it was mindblowingly painful. Arthritis sucks. It helps to hold a cold pack against inflamed joints but only for so long. :(

Your nails look amazing in this color!  (they always look amazing so this isn't a surprise) I can't wait to see what you stamp.

Ouch.   :(   Your scar looks like it healed very well.  You still have a very pretty right hand.  Thank goodness you don't keloid or have red scars. Do you have nerve damage?  How long ago did this happen?  I have a scar on my index finger of my right hand.  (I had a tumor removed)  We can start a club of nail polish bloggers with scarred right hands!

Cool nudie!

Considering the pain and injury you had, I think your hand looks alright!

Thank you Dear!
The scar is only 3cm across (I did metric just for you! lol!).
I have a 15cmx15cm scar on my hip where they took skin to graft on my hand. For 6 months I had a hole in my hand that I had to pack with benadine soaked gauze. The pressure from the crush virtually blew out all the "meat" inside my hand.
It was kind of cool to be able to see my own bones with pins through them. =-O

Forgot...I am right-handed.

Thank you so much Liz!

The accident happened in 1982 when I was 21. I'm sure that youth and good genes played a major role in how this looks today. About 5 years ago, my skin took on the yellowish haze that comes with aging and that has helped redness tremendously.
There are no Keloids, however, I have a lot of Calcium build-up.
2 major nerve branches destroyed.

Thank you Kirsten! This is a great color...very soothing.
I have always had a high tolerance to pain. When the crush happened, it did not "register" as pain...it was more on the lines of mindblowing pressure and discomfort.

Thanks Andrea! I felt a bit odd after I finished this mani...a nude- and a creme at that! I had my bottle of Nfu-Oh 49 picked out in case I couldn't handle the creme. It's all good, though, palate cleansed.

Wow- I didn't know that! Doctors can't know exactly how a body is going to respond to healing- they can only predict.
I am glad you prooved them wrong!

Tira-mi-su is a pretty neutral. It looks really nice with your skin tone. I've really come to appreciate latte shades of polish. There's some caramel in there too.

Your scar reminds me of a starfish or a sand dollar. I don't mean to make light of your injury in any way, but it healed in an interesting form that makes me think of the sea.

Thanks Lady!
This is my first time wearing a nude, and I think I'm liking it.

NO need to apologize dear! I with you on seeing beauty in my scar.
